Peter kessen, director, customer relations they sent a free gift for a previous order, then sent more, and i did not pay, now im getting collection letters

2008 my wife ordered a gift for my nephew for christmas, that went just fine i get a free call from this company wanting me to accept a free gift for the previous years order. I know nothing is free, so i wanted to so what this was all about. They not only sent one but three. Then i recieved a letter saying i needed to pay for the order. I called them and they said it was a mix up and they would send a return package, i waited... Now i have gotten a letter from a collection agency called accounts receivable technologies. Every time i call i get put on hold then disconnected
