Was picking up a load for carrier in Ga. Had a 1pm appointment. After sitting till about 5 pm, called the broker to see why I am waiting on load, was told they usually take a while to load and that I would be paid $50 an hour for up to 5 hours for detention time. Finally got loaded at 1 am the next morning. Asked my dispatcher of the policy for detention pay, was told driver would be paid 100% of detention pay when company is paid. After about 3 weeks of paychecks, had not recieved detention pay, asked dispatch if they have been paid, was told yes and to this day I have not been paid 1 cent of the detention pay. And believe that was fired on my 90th day because of this instead of what they implied me to be terminated for.
