This is all factual. So far they have failed to respond to 2 letters from the Minnesota Attorney General's Office. This is the letter I sent to th A.G.'s office: On July 25, I ordered a new hood for my daughters mustang due to some damage. As shown on email of this date, I was to be charged $480.98. I paid by debit card. Two days later I received and email (attached) stating that I needed to contact them regarding my order. I did immediately as I work out of town and did not need any problems as I saved up for this hood. The reason they called was to try to sell me light bulbs for the car. I declined. I later called to find out where my hood was and they said it was shipped. I asked why I was charged over $512.00, I was told they would check on it for me. Later I received a call from my wife one evening that the hood had arrived and the package was damaged, it appeared to be crushed. The delivery driver had told her not to open it and to refuse the package or she could not be sent back. She did as he said. (notice from 1st email, in order to return it you cant open it, which contradicts a little further down the page). I called MyHotMustang and explained what had happened. He said she did the right thing, or something to that effect. I asked them to get me a new hood, they said they would inspect the package when it arrived. I received another email from My Hot something or other asking me to call xxxx, the next evening I did and he said he found no damage, I asked him to please send it back then and tell the delivery service not to tell people not to open the package. He said someone would call me. They never did. I do not believe the hood was not damaged and they have no way to prove it wasnt because they can fake pictures now. I called several days later after receiving no response and talked to a polite guy who said they would get me a new hood shipped out. I thanked him. After giving them a couple of weeks to ship it again and receiving no word from them, I called again and was told they gave me $275.00 back and would not ship me a new hood. I asked for a manager and talked to xxxxx who repeated the same thing. I told him he, #1 overcharged me and did not refund the overcharge, #2 his choice of delivery driver directed my wife not to open the package, #3 I was told by them I would be getting an new hood and now hes changing his mind. He ended the call. If they keep phone calls recorded you can verify my recollection of events. I want my full refund back as they have misled from the first email I received from them. I do not believe the hood was not damaged as my wife said there was no way it could not have bee damaged. I believe they are lying to scam me for over $200. I had to save to get this hood for my daughter. I want my full refund back. I have filed complaints with both the Texas and Minnesota Attorney Generals.
