I too, among many have been unfairly treated by this company. I also bought a car 2 1/2 years ago and it has been a long couple of years dealing with this company's representatives. Now, i am not saying i have been the perfect customer, i have had some problems, financially, however i have always paid. They have called all my references day after day informing them about my delinquency on my car loan. References are suppose to be just that references, not a answering machine and not my secretary. Over and over these people have given out information about my financial situation. These references were employers of mine and since these non-stop phone calls from rude employees of westlake i have lost 4 clients. They even called my aunt in california informing her about my situation, they got her phone number when she called in a payment for me. What gives them the right to do that? This has caused my aunt to look at me differently, i live in phoenix, az. They say to call to make arrangements if your late, so i did. They threaten me stating if i don't make a payment at that second they are going to repo. I informed them i didn't have a checking account, they wanted my info so they could access my checking account to take out payment, they told me, " does you family, friends, neighbor have one?" what is wrong with these people, i have had shouting matches with them because they were calling me names, and they would not give me their names or employee number. They actually have attacked my character slandered my name to my references, told them of my being behind and they want to pick up car do they know where it is!!! I was only 23 days past do. I, like i said have lost clientel do to there s%t! Isn't it against the law to give your financial information out to anyone. They have just about broke my spirit and i was ready to just give them the car but it is almost paid for. So no!!! I will fight for it. I have read alot of the complaints listed and i can't believe these people are getting away with this. I thought by law you must be behind 3 months before they can repo your car. Boy was i wrong, i want to join in this action against this company and look forward to seeing something done. Just because you are late or behind in payments who gives these people the right to humiliate and embarrass you to references and family and friends. Not to mention the name calling and the verbal abuse you get when you try to talk to one of those people, they actually used vulgar language in a couple of our phone conversations. This is why i avoid their calls but, then they call at the crack of dawn till 9:00 at night. Right now they are telling me i am going to jail for hiding the car, and the car is reported stolen andi will be taken out of the car by gun point and arrested they will make sure of that. We have rights, our rights have been taken from us by this company. I want to check into suing for divulging my financial info to references and sue for jobs lost because of their harrasement and non-stop calls. Can someone give me some info on this please. I am a single parent of four kids and this has affected their lies also. Thank you
