Midas has ripped me off by charging me $837 for a simple brake job, on a Hyundai. They advertised at $39, and upsold me to 800 dollars more which the service I did not need.
They told me since my purchase was $800, I can be signed up for Same As Cash deal and pay monthly with no interest, and they signed me up with my bank.
Two weeks later I recieved a call from my bank regarding the charges and stated that I will have to pay monthly interest of 19.8%.
I called the district manager, and as I suspected, he couldnt do shit either. He said he will have to talk to the store manager to see if he lied to me or not. The store manager is in Italy now with my money having a nice vacation.
I told them I was willing to pay a portion, which is reasonable for the job they did, but still recieved no response. Every person I talked regarding MIDAS, gave a negative response about them.
Every person I talked after this matter has told me they or someone they knew also has been ripped of by MIDAS. They quoted "MIDAS is the worst company in the US to have your car done by. They are untrustable and pieces of sh*t."
The anger I have with them may put me jail for the actions I dont want to take, which resulted in picking up smoking again to calm me down.
