In Janurary of I ordered a 2001 Ford Mustang Bullitt GT. The price of the car was $25,042.00. Several weeks later the price of the same car was raised to $27,380.00. This was done because Carsdirect realized that this was a special model of the Mustang GT and they could get more for it than a regular GT.
The price I was given was without any factory rebate.By the time the car arrived for delivery, there was in effect a $1,500.00 rebate from Ford. I was now eligable for this rebate. Carsdirec said that they would not sell me the car for less than invoice and that the price was $25,042.00 no rebate. But on my sales contract at Ford of North Miami Beach, the price of the car was raised by $1,500.00 to $26,542.00. At the bottom of the cantract there is $1,500.00 deducted as a rebate.
I should have been entitled to this rebate since it was comming from Ford not the dealer or Cars direct. The price was set by Carsdirect, but I took delivery through Ford of North Miami Beach.
