Me and my fiancee went to trade our old car in. We were told they were having a special where you could get $100 dollars off the down payment for every year youve been on the job for up to ten years. Great! That would have made the down payment on the particular car we wanted a mere $200 dollars. Right?
We sat there for 2 hours getting grilled about everything from our living expenses to our entertianment expenses from an extremely rude and cocky salesman. Then when it came down to the calculations, our first six payments were to be OVER 200 dollars a week! A week! The payments were supposed to only be 75 a week.
He said, "Oh thats a thousand dollars in "specials" that you have to pay. It turns out that you dont get anything "Off" of your down payment. You have to pay it back in the first six weeks! Thats false advertisement. They should have explained it to us before we sat there and wasted our time for 2 hours.
They should have said deferred or delayed, not off!
We walked out.
