My car have engine start issue for few times recently. Also at same time the check engine light turns on. The battery is more than 4 years old. It is clearly the battery need to be replaced, so the start issue will be fixed easily. FireStone (locates at 3525 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Duluth, GA 30096) replaced my starter (they think that is the problem) at beginning. Later on they told my battery is dead too, they charged me more than $356 for replace started with free battery replaced. Do you think starter and batter can be bad same time? They charged me another $100 for diagnostics and flashed coolant system and replaced the thermostat for check engine on issue, that is another $268 charge. I have backed several times.
I am strongly suspect they dishonestly told me starter was bad not battery because my batter is 4 years old. Also flash coolant does help the check engine on issue?
