Ripoff & Liars They don't know how to fix our car and won't even return our phone calls

Our transmission blew up on August 20. It was towed to an AAMCO in Harrisburg, PA. They told us that it would be completely rebuilt in 3 - 5 days. The fourth day came aound we spoke to them and we were told the car would be ready tomorrow. Tomorrow came and went finally, 2 weeks later, we got the van back.

Five days after receiving the van back, the brand new torque converter blew up. Back in the shop we went. 7 days it took this time.

After we got it back the second time the alignment was way off and there were noises coming from somewhere. We made an appt. At one place for an alignment and an appt. With our mechanic for the noises. Both told us the same thing... The transmission had not been attatched tightly to the sub-frame! Therefore, the mechanic could do nothing for the noises and an alignment would be ineffective until everything was tightened. The mechanic also found a CV Boot that they tore.

So, we take it back to AAMCO for the third time (this time in Mechanicshburg, PA). They repaired the torn CV Boot, told us that the noises were coming from extremely worn tie rods and that there was nothing wrong with the bushings for the sub-frame. They would not tighten them - This issue remains unresolved!

May 6, transmission completely blows up again! They completely rebuilt it again!!! When we got it back the transmission would occasionally slip and it was running a little rough. We wanted that ten day check that you get the first time they rebuild it, NOPE you are not covered for a 10 day check the second time! What is that?

July 28, our transmission blew up again 80 miles away from home. It was 9:30 at night so we contacted the State Police to let them know that we would be contacting AAMCO in the morning to tow it. It is now July 30th and the van is STILL sitting on the shoulder of the highway waiting to be towed!

I have contacted everyone I can think of outside of AAMCO and I am waiting for responses.

Everyone that I have spoken to within AAMCO has been of no help! You are VERY lucky to get a return phone call!
