Auto Body by Duie painted the complete outside of my car including door jams and trunk jams. They originally quoted me at $2900 and three weeks of downtime. That evolved into $3400 and 10 months of excuses, poor business ethics, and a poor paint job.
My car suffers from paint chips/flakes, raised edges, rough spots, and areas that still show the old paint. I've tried working with the shop, but they do not want to fix their mistakes nor honor their warranty.
I paid $3400 and the car was in their possession for 10 months. The quality of the work is not reflected at all in the amount paid or the time given to paint the car.
I've tried to address these issues with two of the co-owners throughout the 10 months and I was always told that they would be taken care of. Each successive visit to the body shop only revealed that they did not take care of the problem, took care of it, but very poorly, or give some excuse about not being able to repair it, didn't know about it, or anything under the sun.
I was told that the delay in finishing the car resulted from poor weather condition, environmental hazards, or equipment breakdown. Yet each visit to the shop, I found different cars coming and going. Which only meant that they were putting others cars ahead of me and left mine to root in their lot. Which has of course ruined my battery and I've had to replace it immediately after I picked up the car.
