Terrible product and customer service

I bought a 2008 Volvo from these guys in September. Seven days later, the engine fell out, wiping out the front left axle, while I was driving it! The Volvo dealer said someone tampered with the transmission and the engine mounts, and that the car had been totaled and repaired.

Once that was fixed, the tire blew out, the front bumper fell off, and I had to have several belts/hoses replaced. All this within a month.

I called them immediatley after the first incident (engine falling out), as I wanted to return or exchange the vehicle. My first response from 'Michael' was a big fat 'we don't take returns.' Finally, after some persistance on my part, and many unreturned phone calls, the best I could get was an exchange for a $1500 'restocking' fee. Seriously? They sold me a junked up car (which did have an accident-free Carfax) and could have cared less.

Three months later, I'm still waiting for reimbursement for the warranty that I legally cancelled within the 20 day period (as I got rid of the vehicle elsewhere). All-in-all, we ended up taking about a $3,000 hit on the car we purchased from them for $15,500.

I should have known better when 'John' at North Coast claimed the car was going through a 160 point inspection, but neither the glove compartment nor the console was as much as cleaned out when we picked the car up. There was actually a wedding ring and a bluetooth left in the console from the previous owner. Too bad the value of those things didn't add up to the thousands of dollars that piece of junk car cost us.

Terrible dealer. Junk cars. Terrible customer service.
