Vultures is the best word I can use to describe this company. Universal Towing is a predatory towing company. While in Daytona Beach, Fl for Biketoberfest they illegally towed my motorcycle trailer from the hotel at which I was a registered guest. Towed without proper authorization from the hotel. Less then 24 hours after the tow they wanted $178.00 to release. The Owner/manger Bruce was very rude and refused to release it even though they were in the wrong and would not tell me who had supposedly authorized the tow, the trailer was damaged and a lock I had on it had been cut off. Thank God for the manger at the hotel I was staying at. After being treated rudely on the phone by Bruce at Universal she contacted her corporate office and had them step in. Only after they contacted Universal was my trailer released to me without a charge. I cannot imagine how many others have been unlucky to have been towed by this company and their predatory ways only to have to succumb to them and pay their outrageous bills to get their property back.
