I purchased a 2005 Hyundai Sonata in 2004 from Swope Mitsubishi Hyundai with only 10 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. At the time my car was financed through Peak 5. I got my title about 2 months later with Peak 5 as the lienholder. A year later I began receiving correspondence from Centrix who apparently had taken over and no new title. The year after that my statements began coming from Flatiron and in January I fied bankruptcy and while I was on my jobsite my car was repossessed. I got ready to go home and the car was gone. I called my lawyer and I had to pay $50 to get my possessions out of the car and then I had to drive all the way to Louisville, KY when the lawyer got it all straight.in Februsry 2009 GTKY Credit Union sent me paperwork to have the title put in my name with them as the lienholder. I spoke to Deborah Forrest who assured me that they would get the title to me as soon as possible and I have copies of the paperwork that I sent back to them. On 3 April I was pulled over and cited for the no proof of insurance in my possession and the officer told me that the car was not even registered to me. I was fined and put on probation.in or around the end of February and I received the tax bill for the car. I took it to the clerks office to pay the taxes on it and the clerk informed me that she could not let me pay taxes on a car that was not titled nor registered to me but she could not tell me whose name it was in. I went on assuming that they were still working on my title. I called and left a message with Deborah Forrest who never called me back. Now get this I ws pulled over again on 21 October and cited again and the officer told me that my registration was cancelled and suspended in September and that the car was not in my name. I have to go to court on 19 November and I am still on probation for the last time. The officer told me that he was suppose to take my license plate off my car but he couldn't get them off. I have been trying to call GTKY, Flatiron, APS, Centrix and all I get is a busy signal. I have medically necessary appointments and I have a business to run and now I have to pay people to take me to my appointments and to my business site on top of all the fines I have acumulated. I strongly encourge everyone to file a complaint with the federal trade commission. The Federal Trade Commission will go in for a class action suit after so many consumers have filed a complaint with them. I also filed one with my local Attorney Generals Office, The Better Business Bureau, The Office of Financial Institutions, The Motor Vehicle Commission of my state. I called my insurance agent who was appalled when I told him. He said, What? He said you have to be kidding? He asked were you leasing it and I said, no. I called them because I have had to maintain full coverage insurance on the car that is not even or may not ever even been in my name except for when I initially purchased it. I have been having nightmares about tem showing up to repssess my car gain but the last time I was not even given a warning. I woke up angry today Sunday October 25. I dreamed that they broke into my garage and had taken all my possessions out my car and was preparing to drive off with it. I don't know what is going to happen at court but I will be taking a copy of all my complaints and teh copies of where they sent me paperwork in February to put the title in my name. I am exmilitary and I have never seen anything this herendous. I am a war veteran and I get therapy thsi is worser tan watching out for the enemy in the war zone.
