The breaks on my 2008 Nissan Titan sometimes sound as if there is metal rubbin metal when breaking especially going down steep hills and when the breaks are quickly applied. I noticed the sound shortly after I purchased the vehicle.
I reported my concern the last 3 service appointments to be told that they could not hear the noise. The first time, the repair department was rude when I was obviously disappointed and concerned. They even made the comment that I should not be upset/mad about it.
I have the condition documented on my last three service records. My most recent service, I was told that maybe the sound was because my truck was dirty from traveling dirt roads. Again, they insinuated that I did not know what I was talking about.
The reason I purchased the truck is because I moved to a rural area where I must travel 1 mile each way when I take the truck out. I wanted a good truck that would allow me to get to and from my home in bad weather and snow.
As a result of this, I am feeling unsafe in the truck because there are hills I must travel and there will be times when I have no choice but to break suddenly.
I also do not trust the service department of the dealer.
