I went in for 2 new front tires on sunday, the 16th of september at a cost of $ 90.50. I noticed shaking on my way home, so i took it in for a balancing to another shop. It kept shaking.
I took the car in to my personal mechanic tuesday (took a day off work) and he stated the rotors had excess run out (they were warped) causing vibration when applying the brakes.
The cost for the new rotors came to $ 150.00. I called martin, the owner of pacific tire and told him what happened. He came to my mechanics shop with a mechanic of his own to inspect my car. He told me he would only pay for the damage if i had the rotors rotated, and not replaced. For the safety of my daughter and my unborn twins, i had the new ones installed, thus paying out of my pocket.
I am considering taking him to small claims court.
