Yes. I purchased a 2007 Ascender from Clay Cooley back in 2006. I specifically told them I did not want more than a 4 year car loan. I was told by the sales rep if I could do 5 and after much thought I agreed for a 5 year loan. I was good in paying my vehicle up and current until April of this year, when the financing company Consumer Portfolio Serives took three payments out in one month. I contacted the company and have been in a battle with them since then. I finally got the financing company to deferre one payment of 597.70 on the truck. So, in doing this I had to sign an extension agreement that one payment of 597.70 would be deferred. I also saw the unpaid balance of 19428.81 was still due and would be paid off in 41 payments. So, I called the financing company back and asked them if they were trying to pull a fast one on me and refinancing the vehicle. She stated no my contract w/ClayCooley was for 7 years. I told her no. I specifically told them I would only do 5 years and that was it. So I called customer service and spoke to someone else who stated it is my fault for signing the papers w/out reading over them. I told her I specifically told them what I wanted and trusted that was what I was getting. She stated never trust that companies financially people. Something should have told me something was wrong b/c I tried 3 times to trade in the Ascender back to them for something else and they would not. I keep telling them how can ya'll sell me a car and won't take it back. WHAT CAN I DO? I have been paying on this car since 01/07 until now. Keep in mind the car was only worth $19000.00 stickerprice on the window. They need to pay for doing people wrong. This is unethical and very unprofessional. I am really considering in returning the vehicle and not paying on it. It is not worth the money they are asking for. Please help...
