Sure Sell Autos - Suresellautos.com
They will never sell your car. They just want your money! Total scam! Don't do it!

On 8/19/09 I was a victim of a scam on my credit card account. I had recently listed my car for sale in Ebay motors. On the morning of 8/19/09, I received a call on my cell phone from an unknown number offering to help me sell my car at a better price. I was told in an automated service that someone will call me back to talk about this service. Sure enough I received a call from a representative from a company called suresellautos.com. The representative was very smooth and slick. He explained to me that suresellautos.com will help me sell my car for a better price and quicker.
At this time I got transfer to an alleged manager of the company Miss Davis. Davis seemed very nice and personable. She explained to me that their company had a proven record of selling luxury vehicles like mine in a very short amount of time. Miss Davis stated that she had reviewed my vehicle information and that she was confident that they would sell my car quickly and for $3,900.00 more than what I was asking for the vehicle. She explain to me that her company will place (5-10) pictures of my vehicle (that they will retrieve from my Ebay website for my convenience) in (10) well known car sale websites, and told me examples of the companies they work with (ebay.com, autotrader.com, yahoo.com, cars.com). She also stated that her company will handle all the calls from potential buyers, arrange for the financing of the vehicle and the transportation of the vehicle from my home to the new owners house. Davis told me they will send me a cashier check once they sell the car.
I told Davis I have never heard of this company and that I did not feel comfortable. She asked me if I had a computer available. Davis directed me to their website. I looked at their website and seemed pretty nice. I ask Davis what would happen with my current auction in Ebay that already had bids on my car. Davis stated that it would not be any problem since it can be change. She told me to go into my Ebay account to update the price and change the phone number to suresellautos.com customer service number. Miss Davis promised that their company will continue to advertise my car up to (6) months, even at their own expense, since they are so confident they will sell my car quickly. At this time Davis asked for my credit card number to collect the $399.00 fee that was attached to this service. I gave Davis my Credit card company credit card number. She stated that another representative will be calling me to confirm the order. 2 minutes after finishing the conversation with Davis another representative called me and ask me if I had given permission to charge $399.00 to my credit card and I said Yes.
Once I hanged up the phone I got a bad feeling about the transaction. I went to my Ebay account and attempted to make the changes Davis said I could do, but I was not able to make the changes. At this time I did a search on Google for Suresellautos.com company and found several rip off reports from other people and complaints about this company. I called back suresellautos.com and spoke to Ana and explain my concern about the company and service. Ana told me that they knew I was not going to be able to make the changes. At this time I told Ana that I wanted to cancel the service since they had lied to me. Ana stated that they have a strict no refund policy and that I was not going to be able to get my money back. I asked to speak to a manager and she referred me to Davis. I left a message for Davis and she did not return my call.
I called my credit card company at this time and explained my situation and I was told that I needed to wait for the charge to post before making a claim. I was also told that the charge was already approved and they could not stop it. I closed my credit card and requested a new one for my peace of mind. The next day (8-19-09) I called Davis again and was able to get to talk to her. Since she sold me the package and was the manager I figure she could assist me. Honestly she was so rude that I was thinking that it was a different person. Davis said she was not able to refund any money because the company had already bought ad space for my car and could not get the money back. This excuse is a lie since they buy basically free ad space. She got so upset that she just placed my call on hold for a while, came back and told me to call customer service from this point forward. I called back several times and left messages but she did not call me back (877) 422-6983 Ext 2012.
On the same day 8/19/09, when I suspected that I had been ripped off by this company and attempted to resolve the situation with the merchant without success, I called my credit card company and I was told that I needed to wait for the charge to post to file a claim. As soon as the $399.00 transaction from suresellautos.com cleared I placed the claim. I was told by my credit card company that they will get in contact with this company on my behalf and resolve my situation and that it could take up to 4-6 weeks. On 9/27/09 I called my credit card company and was told that my claim was denied and that I am responsible for the $399.00. I am basically left in the same or worst place I was, before I placed the claim.
Not only suresellautos.com has rip off several people, the websites this company is using to post adds, some of them are free. The only thing in common of all the websites they used to promote cars is that they are basically unknown. Just one more lie on top of all the other ones I was told. They specifically told me that my car was going to be advertised in ebay.com, autotrader.com, yahoo.com, cars.com and other well known websites. I also noticed that the only car picture they have, is someone elses car, not mine. And if someone even bothers to read the ads, for example: in one of their alleged websites they use, agazillioncars.com, they copy pasted my description posted from my original add in Ebay. They are so retarded that they did not even change my asking price of $30,000 dollars but listed the car for $33,900. Any person on their right mind will not even bother to call to ask about the car. That would probably explain why after I gave them my Credit card company credit card on 8/19/09 I never ever heard back from them for any reason. They were supposed to be my brokers and sell my car. This has been a nightmare that does not seem to end. What this company is doing is wrong. They are clearly running a scam.
They know from the beginning that they have no intention of selling your car. They cover their company by putting a couple of lame car ads, with copy paste text, a picture of any similar car. To legally say they did their job and I am just a dissatisfied customer. They offer all kind of things that they are clearly not going to deliver. They never called me once with any offers from anyone to buy my car or at least to update me on any type of progress. They did not post the car on the websites promised. They did not deliver the service promised. They know people will not seek legal action for $399.00. It would cost me much more money to take care of this claim. Hopefully ripoff report can assist in some way in shutting down this fraudulent enterprise by taking legal action on behalf of the many people affected by this scam.
I learn the meaning of an old saying: "If it sounds to good to be true it probably isn't". A wise person must have said it.
