We purchased a 1994 van in 1999. We put 1500.00 down the cost of the van was 10.000.000. Our payments were $272.00 a month. We called in November and got our intrest reduced from24% to 15%. Our payments lowered to $227.00. We have been late often. Arcadia had recived a payment from us either in make up payments or on time payments every month until April.
Arcadia called our neighbors and sent people to our door. My husband was eaisly intemidated by them and promised 2 post dated checks. When finally the woman Stephanie Mills (I am sure we all know her) finally spoke to me she told me she would discuss with her supervisor the option of selling my van to a dealer and them accepting a settlement offer.
She was to call us on a monday. She did not call till later in the week then complaining we were not returning her call. Never did the message tell us what her supervisor said. I had told her our financial situation.
At this time June we still owe $6,554, 54 if we made our payment on time the next 3 years our van would still not be paid off. Now the van is almost 10 years old we could never get $6000.00 for it. They really have us over a barrell. I think something should be done to curtail the high intrest poicy this company employes. Maybe we should all at one time return our vehicles then what would they do.
