Superior Lifts Inc., superlifts.com superlifts.com concur about this scam operation Avon, Connecticut

I have to concur about the shady practices reported here about this company.

I ordered a lift from superlifts.com AKA Superior Lifts from Scott Miller the salesperson on July 2. I was given a delivery time frame of 6-7 weeks. Fortunately, in retrospect, I called to cancel a few days later. I was informed that my order was indeed canceled and my refund would be processed through accounting. The entire price of 5K (including delivery and installation) was charged on the day of my order.

When my CC statement came through, the charge but not the credit was on the statement. I called to see if my refund was being processed and was told by Scott Miller that my order was indeed cancelled and he transferred me to accounting. I left a voice message which was not returned, of course.

Since I had never had an issue like this before, I called my CC company to inquire about dispute policies. I was told that it should take no longer than one month for a company to process a refund and that I had 60 days to dispute a charge. At the one month mark (Aug 7) I called again and spoke with Scott Miller. After I told him that I was disputing the charge with my credit card company, he said that the company was "restructuring", "everyone got laid off", and he "was there answering the phones for free" At this point I knew this was bogus. I asked if I would have gotten a lift if I had not cancelled and he said "probably not"

Now if I had NOT cancelled my order and waited the 6-7 weeks for delivery of a lift that never came, and fell for their stalling tactics I have read about on this site in other complaints, it would have been beyond the 60 day window for the credit card companys dispute policy.

I would hope the major CC companies would not accept charges from this scam operation.
