In 2008 I purchased a car from Greenlight Auto Sales in Canoga Park, CA.in the sales contract I had included in the total purchase price, gape insurance for $500.00. One year later I received a letter from the gape insurance company stating that they could not approve the insurance because Greenlight Auto never sent in the paperwork.
For an entire year I believed I was protected under the gape insurance. I contacted Greenlight Auto and was told that they had sent all the paperwork and the letter was a mistake. Then I was told that a credit for the $500 would be issued to my finance company. I have yet to see any credit. When I call I'm told the person I need to speak with is out a few days or they will call me back (which they don't).
I'm sure that I'm not the only customer that has been ripped off by Greenlight Auto for false representation on a purchase.
