This past March (09) I purchased a used car from Eddie Richards Auto... I saw the car I liked... I was up front and said I had saved for two years to get a vehicle and could not afford payments as I am on S.S. And raising my granson... I wanted to be able to 'ride off the lot' with my vehicle with no extras to be paid... (tax, title, etc.)... We agreed...
He also gave me a warranty for the car which turned out to be a worthless piece of paper as they refused to honor work that needed to be done... I took it for a test drive and really like it a lot, although several things were wrong, like the panel for the radio was missing, I was assured by the salesman he would find it and put it on, also the drivers sun visor was missing, that too would be replaced, and it was dirty inside...
All these would be taking care of upon pick up of the vehicle... I picked up the vehicle and none of the things were taking care of, just a shotty job of cleaning was done... They would look for the panel and visor... Till this day I have not hear from anyone about this... I went and had 4 new tires put on plus an oil change which I was told was need badly... My gripe is that about a month after I got the vehicle I heard a strange noise from the rear, come to find out the wheel bearing were 'grinded' to nothing and needed break shoes and the rear seal was leaking... I was told that they test their vehicles before they were sold... Right!!...
I took it to the shop to have the rear repaired and now the warranty company will not honor this... At first I took it to a shop and they said they wanted too much to repair it so I needed to take it to another shop in which I did... They also diagnosed the same problem as the first shop and refused to pay for it saying it was not covered under the warranty... Although the Axle is said to be part of the warranty... It is worthless... First the said it was too much, now they say it is not part of the warranty to be covered...
Eddie Richards claims to be a 'Christian', such a person would not rip off someone like me if they were, he would of made sure these things were taking care of and not sold me a 'lemon'... I have the vehicle in my driveway on jack stands, my friends are willing to help me, but finding the parts have become a nightmare... Don't with Eddie Richards or Eagle Warranty have a concious? Buyer beware... Stay away from both!!
