On 7/24/09, I called about a car for sale and spoke to a Ron Jofferion, salesman. We agreed on a price, I told Ron I would be down to buy it in the morning. He advised to call in the morning to make sure it was still available for sale. On 7/25/09 I called Ron at 9:30 am to inquire about the vehicle and he advised it was still for sale. I asked Ron if I could put my master charge card to hold the car until I got there. He said I didn't have to that he would hold it until I got there. I told him I would be leaving immediately and he was aware that it would take 3-1/2 hours drive time from Buffalo, NY to Cleveland, Ohio.
When I arrived, two men just got out of the car I was interested in. I got hold of Ron Jofferion and he said it was SOLD... I was extremely angry. It was clearly apparent that no one had any desire to become involved in this mess that Bernie Levy developed. Ron said Bernie Levy the manager sold it even though he knew I was coming from Buffalo NY. Mr Levy stated Ron called me to tell me it was sold which I found out was a lie when I talked to Ron.
After my wife and I traveled all that distance, all Mr Levy said was I'm sorry and good bye. He was extremely unprofessional. I wanted to talk to the general manager but he would not speak to me. On the web site it is claimed customer service is No 1. This is no way to treat a customer, especially one who has traveled 3-1/2 hours to make a purchase. What I witnessed was a very unprofessional Lincoln Mercury dealership.
