I was contacted on my cell phone by Fidelity National Warranty. It was my last opportunity to extend out a warranty on my vehicle because the world was about to end, right? It's the same old gimmick but with a new twist. These vultures claimed that they could sell me a warranty (at an inflated price of course) that was better than any warranty that I could purchase through GM. We all know that GM is in bankruptcy but to think that the government is going to let GM fail after pumping in 60 billion is absurd. But these clowns went on and on and on about how it would be a mistake to buy a warranty from GM.
I finally asked them, collectively all of the companies that you sell warranties for, how many of them are backed by the United States Government? They of course couldn't and wouldn't answer. First of all, it should be illegal for these scam artists to call you (especially on your cell phone) unsolicited with their scam. What about all of their inflated and exaggerated claims? As soon as you tell them "NO" one goon after another comes on the phone with a deal you can not resist. I am filing a complaint through my attorney generals office.
