Sold me a BAD WARRANTY and don't want to make things right! Overpriced vehicles too

Back in October of I purchased a commercial work van. Dodge Ram 2500 from Prime Auto Sales. I was also told that in order to Credit Acceptance to approve my loan, I was required to buy a warranty that cost an additonal $1500. I always buy used cars with an extended warranty because that gives me piece of mind in case of any major repair work is needed.

The van supposedly had a rebuilt transmission put in which it why delivery took almost two weeks. Hmm!

We took delivery on the van and had to have it towed back to Prime Auto in less than a week because it wouldn't start. Minor repair work needed to be done... (I believe the mechanic said it needed a tune up???)

In February, 4 months after owning this van, my husband was traveling to Kentucky for work. He was supposed to be helping getting cable back to thousands of customers who had down cable lines due to the Ice Storm. On his way to Kentucky the van broke down in Ohio. Being out of state, he had no choice but to bring it to the closest garage for repair. We weren't too upset thinking it would be up and running in a day or two and then he could get on with his trip.

The van was in the garage for 3 days and the garage couldn't perform any repairs until the warranty company sent someone over to approve the repair. We didn't hear anything back so I had to call the warranty company. DDG Services... It was then that we were told our warranty was VOID as this was a commercial vehicle and they do not cover commercial vehicles.

You can imagine how upset I was that the van and my husband were out of state with a broken down vehicle and no warranty to cover the $1300 repair. I contacted Prime Auto Sales and told them the story. They aplologized and DID offer to pay for 60% of the repair cost. But we still had to come up with $500 on our own??? So at that point, it was our only choice, the van took two weeks to get fixed and by the time my husband was able to drive the van, the work in Kentucky was complete. So he traveled hundreds of miles and spent two weeks away from his family and made NO MONEY. The van has not been reliable ever since, therefore my husband had to give up that line of work. I do belive they only helped with the transmission because I was so upset and angry that I threatened to go to all the local newspapers with my story.

May (three months later) the van won't start, we buy a $100 battery and it still doesn't start. Because my husband doesn't have a reliable vehicle he had to give up a pretty good paying job and now we doesn't need the van. We are so tired of the hassles and the van needing work, we thought maybe we can bring it back to Prime Auto to see if they will help us get into a car. We offered $700 down payment and were hoping to just get in any car at this point. I called and told the salesman Russ our situation and asked him if there was anything he could do. He told us to come in.

We visited Prime Auto Sales to see if they will at least buy the van back and put us into a car (just to make things right) We were told they cannot do anything without a $2500 down payment? Dont' you think we have been through enough? We have made our monthly payments on this overpriced piece of junk and now they won't help up get into a CAR?

The salesman Russ actually tried to sell me a car with a suggested retail value of $3760 (per Kelly Blue Book) for $5895, when I questioned him about it, he told me that they have to make their money back somehow as they helped with the transmission. They don't feel bad that they sold a BAD WARRANTY to us? If this warranty was good, we would just get the van repaired when needed and be on our way. It's the fact that we don't have that to rely on is out biggest problem.

Do not buy from prime auto sales, they are dishonest people and they don't have good business ethics.
