I just recently left a company that is aware, and that encourages that employees charge customers for things that they do not ask for. I am not a upset employee or some kind of nut, I just feel that this kind of scamming they are pulling here is similar to the situations that have gotten hardworking Americans, and our economy in the mess that we are presently in. This is only the Dollar and Thrifty Rent-A-Car in AUSTIN, TX they are franchise locations. The parent company Clearwater Transportation also owns a location in Killeen but I cannot speak for that branch. For example, when you go to the Dollar or Thrifty corporate site, Dollar.com or thrifty.com and book a car, the fee Recovery Fee, or Fleet Recovery Fee will say $1.69. But when you get to the location in Austin it will say $4.89. Also, the managers and higher ups in the company tell all the agents to add on a fee and lie about it when they customer comes to the counter - Roadside assistance - (RSD) as it appears on the contract. If anyone has had this happen to you, call them and demand a refund for what you were charged extra. The difference of the recovery fee as it is different on your itenirary, and the copy they gave you, also look for DAILY EXTRAS on your contract. Look in center column and if you see RSD then you need to be refunded. Any questions feel free to email me at (REDACTED FOR SECURITY PURPOSES).com
