My husband and I had some bad credit due to medical bills. I had paid off 2 previous car loans in the past. Anyways we had just been in a wreck with our son and needed a new car. Our only option was to purchase a car through Prestige Financial. Anytime the carpayment was not in there office by 10:00 am I received a phone call by 11:00 am that day.
One time I was hospitalized while I was pregnant and because they couldn't get a hold of me, so they contacted one of my referrals and got the hospital phone number. They called me in the hospital to remind me my car payment was late. No kidding I'd been in the hospital for three days with a fever of 104. I really wasn't worried about the car payment.
Finally my husband and I had had enough so we voluntarily took the car back to them. They sold the car for $1,300 and we still owed over $5,000 on the car. They are now threatening to garnish my wages unless I make a monthly payment to them of $100 a month for the next 4 years.
I thought that when the car was repossesed you were finished with it and received a bad credit rating. Apparently not with these people. I just don't know what to do. We honestly cannot afford $100 a month for nothing. We were able to purchase a better car for much less than we paid for the lame Chevy Metro. Anyways, anyone looking at purchasing a car through these people don't. It's only bad bad news.
