Cottmans Transmision told me one price, and then charged me over $400 dollars more, and said they never told me lower price Virginia Beach Virginia...
I took my 1987 Jeep to this shop, and they called me a couple days later to let me know I need a new transmision. When I went there, they had transmision on counter, but assembled. Told me it would cost $2600 for 12 month, 12,000 mile warranty, or I could go better route and get better transmision for $3200, which would give me unlimited mileage for warranty period. My Jeep is old, and I am poor, so I opted for the lesser price.
Now a week or so later I get a call saying they are waiting for one part, and current total is $3011!!! This is not good buisness... I am very poor and practically had to sell my soul to get $2600... When I asked the rep named Guy why price was not as originally mentioned, he stated he never quoted $2600, and started rattling off all the parts prices, and said he would have to put more items than already on labor, on labor to reduce price some.
I dont have the money for this, and I trusted this company, and took on a second job just to help pay back the loan I got. I dont think I am getting the straight and narrow from this company and I am going to contact the local news team, that helps televise things like this to expose crooks... Its just unfair that hard working people cant get good service and honest service when we put our faith in a company.
