I would like to complain about the business practices of Jim Glover Chevrolet. I pulled on their lot trying to locate a used Ford Expedition under $20,000 when the sales person Melissa Lorenz stated she did not have what I was looking for she directed me to a 2000 suburban that might make a good substitute. I agreed.
The following day she called my place of business and asked if I was available to come drive the car. I reiterated my position that I was not going to spend over the $20k she said this vehicle would be under the 20k that I required. Later that day she called back and said she needed to get me pre-approved for the loan.
I explained I already had my financing in place and I would see her after work. Upon arrival at the lot I promptly asked for Melissa Lorenz and surprisingly was told she was not here but her husband Terry Lorenz would be out to help me in a minute.
I waited for about 20 minutes when he walked out and quickly said Melissa is not here and the best he would do on the Suburban was $24,000. I was furious that my time had been wasted in this manner and I can only conclude that the dealership must also be collaborating with their finance companies for additional reparation. I
Find the entire experience in bad taste and completely supports the sleazy reputation that car salesman have become synonymous with.
