On March 23 we paid Eric Pon $1680 to rebuild the heads of our Bronco II. He said he found that the block was cracked also. He bought a block for a 1990 model and the engine in ours is a 1987 with a v belt not serpantine like the 90 model had. Eric told us he would only be making $92 off this deal because he wanted to help out a neighbor.
We ended up spending another $750 to purchase a refurbished engine (complete) with warranty. He dismantled the top of the engine because he said he could not get the engine into the compartment without doing so.
When we went to tow our vehicle back to our house, we found the starter just barley hanging by wires, the engine was loosely sitting in the compartment.
We had to pay $58.29 to have the truck towed on a trailor. This has turned into a living nightmare. Now we have to find a mechanic (cetified) that will be willing to clean up Eric's mistakes.
We have 1 receipt from Eric showing he bought new heads. We do have some other parts that were purchased and my wife looked on lines for costs of this. We still can not account for about $800 that he had of our money.
We had made him sign a paper with us showing how much we gave him. He and his girlfriend had been talking about purchasing a horse at this time. She came to my wife about 2 days after money was exchanged and said these people gave her a horse. Sounds very fishy.
I have never heard of someone giving you a horse. We are learing a very expensive lesson about trusting neighbors. We are placing this report on her so that others can see not to trust Eric Pon.
