Got a auto financing with capital one. Got 5000 cash from bank. 1/4 went to pacific honda here in san diego to buy a honda fit for my wife. Told the dealership that i had a blank check and downpayment. Told them that i did now want a loan or any extras. Settled on a price. Had to fill out a application because of the "patriot act". 4 hours later got the car. Had to keep telling them i did not want any extra anything and not to run my credit application since i had a blank check.
Feb 19 got a letter from capital one auto finance. Said a auto dealer submitted a application on your behalf and they were unable to approve the loan.???
I called capital one and they told me that on 1/4 pacific honda submitted this application.
I called pacific honda and got the run around. Fianally got the general manger and he told me that he would get a letter to me.

Please remove the inquiry initiated by pacific honda on brians credit beureau. The bureau was pull on 1/04 by mistake. The customer info as follows;

He had his own financing in place before coming into pacific honda nd requested thhat we not pull his credit file. Unfortunately his information was attached to a co buyer on the file that we needed to run credit on. His file was attached to hers and ran at the same time. Please remove our inquiry from his credit file as it was a mistate to run it. The customer has requested this be removed from his bureau as it was his request fro the initial transaction and not to have his credit pulled.
This loan we had the blank check had my name and my wife name on it. Two names. This was a joint application. There was no reason to run either of our names. We were lied to and defrauded. I would like to take this dealership to small claims court. What can i do? We both, both of us told them the same thing. We have our own financing.
I called the manager of the dealeship after i got this letter. I told him that it was completely incorrect and i need a new one showing that both of us never wanted anything submitted or a credit run! That was month ago. The guy Eric nelson the manager never called me back!
