Ripped Off! They will never get another cent from me

I drive a 85 Corvette and had a fuel leak that I could see that was dumping fuel all over my engine. I had it towed to Pep Boys for $40.00 and was told that they would have it fixed the next day after they of course ran diagnostics on it. This happened on 4/5/09

The next day I had not recieved a phone call from them giving me an update about how the diagnostics went (even though you dont need that to see the problem) how much it was going to end up costing me or anything. It was ten min. Before they closed when I decided that I would have to call them. I have never had to call a mechanic to find out about a car. They said, "Oh your fuel lines have a few leaks and we are going to have to replace the lines so we have to track down the parts. You should get your car tomorrow and we will call you when we can give you a quote."

They did not call me so i called them and i found out that the car wasnt ready and somehow they confused my car for a 95. They said they couldnt find the lines to replace them so they were going to have to have somone make them for me and again they said they would call me when it was ready.

Eventually i got the call that the car was ready for me to pick it up on 4/10/09 The lines were fixed and it cost $1000.00 They lost my keys and it took 20 min. For them to track them down. I couldnt wait to get out of there every employee that I came into contact with was very unprofessional.

I got in my car and drove it out of the parking lot onto the main road when I went to give it more gas it started choking and died 2 blocks up the street. My gauges said it was almost full. When I called them back they said I would have to tow it and they would run $90 diagnosis on it and they wouldnt be able to get to it untill the next day! I hung up.

I went and got gas even though my gauge said it still had gas and now it runs fine. I really do think that they messed with my gauges because it wasnt broken before and now it doesnt work. I am telling everyone this story. I wont by anything from these criminals again.
