My car did'nt pass the smog check due to a check engine light being on code P2716. One of the authorized facilities for repairs was Puurfect Auto 37. I took my car there Tuesday they came back with the same code and said that it was the shift solenoid, which needed to be replaced. I was quoted $ 750.00. I left a deposit of $200.00. I then dropped my car off on Saturday to have it repaired.
Once I picked it up I was told that it passed smog and with emission problems sometimes the light might come back on. I still felt jerking and the light came back on. I was a little suspicious so I took it to the dealer who stated the same light required a ECM (R & R Engine Control Module) which was covered under a warranty as manufacturer defect.
Upon my conversation with the Service Manager replacing the solenoid was not the reason for the code or would not have corrected the problem. Then when asked to see the invoice I was taken to look under my car to find Trans Pan was never removed or touched in order to replace a solenoid. It was still factory sealed.
I contacted Puurfect Auto and was informed by Alex and Bob I will not get a dime back and I can call the National Guard after hanging up on me. I have paid money for services never received and should have received my money back. But will never return and no one else should ever deal with these crooks.
