I'm an elderly widow who lives on a fixed income, I recieved a phone call last November offering me an extended warranty for my car. I have been making "on time, I might add" monthly payments of $132.67, I never recieved any paperwork other than my payment book. I was writing out my check for this month and realized something isn't right, I googled their name and it showed up on this site. I decided to the number on the botton of my payment book to ask some questions. A woman answered the phone claiming that this site was talking about a different co and NOT the one she works for... I told her I wanted a refund as no services were rendered nor did I have any proof as to what and where my money was being applied to. She told me, " I don't think we can do that", she stated that I had to write a letter of cancellation in order to get my refund. I will be researching this further and plan to notify everyone person (s) of interest including my lawyer. I can't believe in this allowed to happen in this day in age with all of our technical advantages, it's a disgrace and hope the next step for sites like this is to help us actually do something about people like this...
