Went online to www.findatrans.com put in my info they had sales rep or tech call me said they do free inspections ok i go to cottmans at 1031 patricia#114 san antonio, tx. I talk to tech tell him about noise in rear end he says its ok we do it all. He put truck on lift take trans pan off calls me out their and grabs driveshaft moves back and forth and says hear that well yea i hear that, thats why im hear, he says well thats not your rear end that noise you hear in the rear end travels from trans down driveshaft ok, im not mech but i know what i heard.
So anyway, now he needs to take trans apart 500 dollars just to look. Ok i said. Well get call this morning same tech or salesman its not trans it rear end we need to take off your axel, but since trans is apart all over our shop floor we will rebuild for only 2100 more dollars not including rear end which by the way is the problem. So im down 500 bucks. I told techs to put my truck back together hopefully its right im not letting them touch it again. Although the guy did tell me he had 25 years exp. I guess i should have asked if that was in sales or tech tim san antonio, tx
