Don't Shop at Bigot and Racist Checkers Auto Parts

In today's environment and economic conditions thousands of well-mannered, respectful and eager to please individuals are looking for jobs. One could find such individuals at the Checker Auto stores but instead, they employ and protect Racist Bigots full of hatred with outright nasty attitudes towards anyone that, their little intellect and limited IQ, perceive as being an illigal or otherwise foreign individual.

You might very well want to stay away from this store (#01239 on Tatum Blvd) if you live in Scottsdale, or all stores for that matter, anywhere in the USA because even their Boss and CEO Larry Mondry will NOT acknowledge or appologize for his employee's racist and bigot attitude and beliefs.

If you are from South America, from Southeast Asia, from Eastern Europe, or Middle East; if your skin or hair is dark, "not all of us can be from the Arian Race", or if you speak with any kind of accent you are branded "AN ILLIGAL, STUPID AND IGNORANT ALIEN" who needs indoctrination and lessons on the English language... Happens I'm not, but I must point out to all of you from Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, West Virginia, New York, etc, etc... BE AWARE OF YOUR ACCENTS IF YOU GO TO A CHECKERS AUTO PARTS STORE because the employee just might insult, offend, and yell you out of there: - "You ignorant illigal..."!!! (You aught to be 'cause you have an accent!)

You are forewarned, and don't bother complain to Larry because he doesn't give a hoot!!!

Dear Sir,

In today’s environment and economic conditions thousands of well-mannered, respectful and eager to please individuals are looking for jobs. It would be in the best interest of corporations that such personnel is acquired and retained. It would be paramount to CSK interests that such caliber of individual worked at the Checker Auto stores since customer and consumer skills are imperative to its survival; which brings me to the subject of this letter:

On Feb 9th I went to one of the stores, Checker Auto Parts located on Tatum Blvd.in Scottsdale # 01239 to purchase a battery for a Ford Mustang GT. As part of my inquiries I asked if there was a rebate for a battery core to which I was told yes. The employee, an older individual by the name of Bill then, first tried to sell me a more expensive battery which I declined, then tried to sell additional items I didn’t ask for in a more forceful manner. To that kind of sales pitch I replied jokingly that he was trying to sell items I didn’t want to offset the rebate. Apparently, my decisions and reply got the individual angry and he made no attempt to manifest his disdain and contempt for me and what he apparently construed as being my race. I chose to ignore the incident as the result of an overly aggressive, somewhat illiteral, and intellectually challenged salesperson, at this point.

I left the store and while looking at the receipt noticed that it showed a credit for $5 and also an additional charge for $5 dollars. To that I needed clarification. I went back and asked the clerk to explain to me whether or not I was getting a rebate for the battery core since there were a credit and a charge on the receipt?

At this point the individual became very angry and rude, started raising his voice, calling me ignorant, stupid as well as lacking verbal skills in English! I am to assume is rage came as a result of my complexion i.E. (dark hair, dark skin so I must be an ignorant illegal Latino).

After the yelling and name calling (apparently because of hatred for aliens) he continued to attempt to present me as an inferior, for whatever reasons fuels his rage. While screaming at me, I finnally came to understand I did not get a credit for the battery I bought but rather a credit for the core I gave him since it wasn’t the same battery type. (in my humble ignorance I thought a CORE was a CORE... PERIOD)

I have been in the United States for 41 years. I cam here as a child of Portuguese immigrants (surprise I’m not an illegal Latino after all), I’m European educated with a Masters in Fine Arts, and have served my country (another surprise I am a citizen) for 25 years as a US Marine Corps Officer. I’m sure intellect, English comprehension level, and IQ is somewhat better than your employee; eventhough, I made no attempt to offend or diminish his intellect or intelligence, or lack of, as his actions further proved.

I have served our country to provide individuals with the ability to pursue happiness, freedom, stupidity, ignorance, and to express themselves with or without limitations, but not provide employees of a company with the ability to be hateful, angry, and disdainful racists towards customers.in the end “A Customer Is Always Right” even when they are totally wrong, that is the motto that sustains businesses and will keep Checker Auto Parts prospering.

For that reason; I am hereby requesting, that this employee the reprimanded and that a written apology be issued by him with a corporate annotation. I’m sure that with his English communication skills he can be just as eloquent and expressive as I am, perhaps even better. (I’m the non-English speaking Alien) so he should REALLY attempt to impress me.

I regret to say that failure to do so will leave me no option but to pursue a campaign of informative Blogs/Websites and written articles about individuals who will be disrespectful, argumentative, and nasty because of the color of one’s skin and the failure of Checker Auto Parts to care for, or be sensitive to its customers by employing these individuals full of hatred for accented Americans. (Texans have accents…so do New Yorkers, and others throughout the country!!!), so we should all stay out of your stores. Perhaps even pursue legal avenues if it becomes apparent that such Racist and Bigot actions are condoned and ignored by the employer.

Hopefully, with my skin color, hair color and complexion as well as written and spoken skills in Spanish, Italian, French, and Portuguese I will be able to reach and influence quite a large group, not just the “illegal minority” for whom there seems to be such contempt and racist attitude fomented on behalf of the CSK Auto Corporation, Inc..
