My car broke down and was towed to this dealership. They diagnosed the problem as water in my gas tank. The charged me $1600 to fix and the next time i used the car it broke down again. I went back to them and they want to replace the battery and alternator which were replaced back in july. This will cost me another $300. I want to get rid of the car but they will only give me $2000. The car has been well maintained and cared for by me and has only 55,000 miles on it and has been garaged for eight years, it is a 2000 toyota camry which i bought at this dealership. They want me to buy another car of course. If the car does not run now i will be sinking more and more money into it. The car doesn't run so who can i sell it to privately. I know where i got the water/gas from and asked the owner about it. But he said that i couldn't prove my allegation. Seven months age i had some trouble with my car and paid $977 to have a new battery, alternator and ignition switch put in and now all of this trouble. These parts are warranteed, supposedly but toyota wants to replace them. Those parts were replaced at a nearby aaa station. I failed to mention that my car was also towed to another aaa station on west 54st and they had the car for a week and could not diagnose the problem but charged me $418 anyway. I am disputing this money with my credit card company. I had my car towed to bram toyota after the aaa could not help me. This is the nightmare that i am currently in.
