Five Star Automotive - The Quiet Zone Muffler And Brake
Damaged my car and told me it wasn't their fault, left me in the cold with a overheating car

01/21 Received Consumer Rebuttal — (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

For your information, your "tech" broke the return coolant line valve, NOT the cooling system bleeder valve.
I spoke with the dealer and the dealer indicated and showed to me both personally and by schematic the right valve and that your people were obviously not aware the actual bleeder valve on a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire is "above the right coolant return located on the actual engine block itself". NOT the coolant pipe valve which runs across the front of the engine.

Your guy broke the wrong valve on my car, he could never have bled the cooling system properly to begin with ergo he shouldn't have been working on something he didn't know anything about. If you think I'm lying try calling the dealer and asking them or I can email you the schematic and show you where the bleeder valve is.

Second the metal valve itself was a clean snap, it was not rusted, there was corrosion around the paint on the pipe, the valve was snapped from being turned in the wrong direction. Your company will pay for the part your guy broke, you will pay for the charge of having it bled by the dealer.

It took me days to figure this mess out your guy created. I have no problem taking this to court and I will be asking for complete reimbursement for being left at 3pm on a saturday with no viable options but to drive my car in the overheating condition it was in and seek repair for the rattling now coming from the lifters and request a full refund from the Judge. Simple.

Oh yea, one last point, would you please explain to me how a aluminum pipe is going to rust? The powder coating on it rusted and flaked away, not the pipe itself, so please explain to me how this is possible?

In response to the complaint filed: We did install a water pump on this customers vehicle. He supplied his own part. His bleeder pipe broke during the repair. It broke as a result of the deteriorated and rusted condition of the pipe it is attatched too. It would have happened at any repair shop. There was nothing that could be done because it was Saturday afternoon. If the customer is willing to remove the false and misleading testimony he posted on various websites, we will install a new cooling line pipe. He will have to pay for the part and we will install it at no charge. We will not pay for any towing or rental car charges he may have incurred because we are not at fault. This is the only concession we are willing to make.

This is the reply they gave for my review on city search, check out how they are lying after they wrote the BBB 2 days later.

Absolutely False Posted on 01/23 "We did not brake any part on this customers vehicle. Is was broken prior to us replacing the water pump. We only noticed it afterwards and informed him of the problem. He then turns around and trys to blame us for it."

This is the best they can do, just imagine the customer service you'll get by having your car serviced there. Are there any good lawyers out there? I could use some help, I'm just a poor person with a car that has no heat now, it was below zero last sat and it's freezing outside again.

On a lighter note, I say AVOID THE QUIET ZONE on LAYTON at all cost!!! P.S. This message will repeat weekly forever or until the internet gives out or until I get some kind of Justice.
