Central Kia Of Plano running ads on television stating $ 99 dollars down and $ 99 dollars a month payments. I called and spoke with a salesperson named Jennifer and I told her we saw the ad and were interested in the Sportage.
Iasked her if the Sportage was included in the $99 down and $99 a month and she replied yes. She asked where we lived and I told her about 2 hrs away. She said we could do the app on the phone and she would give us a call in a short time and let us know and we could drive up. I gave the info and again I asked for confirmation that the Sportage was one that was $99 down and $99 a month and Jennifer repied "yes".
About an hour later Jennifer called and said she had great news that we were approved for a new car. Again I asked her if that meant we could get a Sportage for $99 down and $99 a month. Again Jennifer said "YES".
We drove over 2 hrs and when we get to the dealership the salesman says well the thing with the $99 dollsrs a manth is that it is for the first 3 months only then it goes to the regular monthly payment. I asked where Jennifer was and told by Albert that she was there as a matter of fact she just walked by you, but Jennifer gets the customer in and then he finishes the deal.
I walked out of the cubicle and asked where the manager was and was told he was not there. I asked where Jennifer was and was told oh she is not here she is at a call center. The lies just keep stacking up.
I walked back in the cubicle where Albert was smooth talking my husband and he asked Albert what the payments would be and he said I don't know I'll have to run the numbers. He left the office and when he came back he had "this great deal that his supervisor told him to give us since we were upset and did not understand."
He said the Sportage was a $21,080, but his boss was knocking it down to 18,295 plus give us $4000 rebate and $0 down for $369 a month.
By this time I was furious. I had already checked prices and the most expensive Sportage I had found in the area as just over $15,000. I also was furious because as many times as I asked Jennifer on the phone if the Sportage was $99 down and $99 a month her only response was "yes".
I might be an old woman but I did not fall off the turnip truck yesterday. My husband wanted a Sportage and we could have made the $369 a month payment but I would not buy a KIA now if my life depended on it. I despise deceitful people who feel they can only make a living by tricking people into thinking they are getting a GREAT DEAL, when they are actually getting a GREAT *.
