I met Dan (Dana) Fraley via ebay in Feb of '08. He supposedly builds replica Ferraris. I talked to him a few times on the phone and then sent him two checks totalling $15,000. His contract stated that it would take appoximately 12 weeks to build my car. 12 weeks came and went and he always had a clever and believable excuse as to why my car wasn't finished.
It's now been over ten months, and still & no car. He finally called me back today (he doesn't know that I googled his name recently and found other people that he's scammed) and said that my car would probably be ready by Feb of '09. And if that wasn't good enough he'd be more than happy to send me the car "as is."
Dan Fraley appears to be a nice man. He is a little older and speaks slowly and is very believable. But I've spoken to two other people that he's done something similar to and they both can attest that he is a criminal and deserves to be thrown in jail. Stay away from him!
Currently, I haven't told him that I've filed a police report and an FBI report on him and if anyone else out there needs help with someone who's scammed them on the internet you can go to www.ic3. Gov and file a report with a joint task force within the FBI.
