Buried us in a car we wanted out of

My husband and I have been also been scammed by Drive Financial. We had our car for two years and were buried so deep we couldn't even trade it. The first year our payments were credited withine three days of being sent. Suddenly our twelth payment disappeared. I called several times, but they had not received it. They told me I needed to make an immediate payment online at a fee of $10.95 AND my account would be assessed a late fee. I called my bank, stopped payment on the original check at a fee of $31, and I was assessed a $40 late fee.
The next month I was SURE to get my payment to them on time. But the following month I had an additional late fee... WHAT?

Our transactions and communication results with Drive spiraled down hill after that. Suddenly we owed more on the car, and after making payments for two years our statement showed we had only cut our cost by $1000 dollars. We paid almost $10,000 and still owed $1000 less than our original statement.

I called, my husband called trying to talk to someone. We never could reach anyone to tell us what was going on. I sent emails... All with the same reply. Contact them at their website.

Then I decided to be late with my payment so someone would talk to me. When they did, I asked how much our interest was, because our amount was not going down with our payments. Every person I talked to gave my a different interest amount. I knew what our "contract" said, and none of them had the right amount.
Finally I told them to come and get the car. We were not going to continue to pay for something that would never truly be paid off!

As I looked all over the company's website, I finally found a place that says they have offices in Dallas, TX, but their home company is based in South America. That was the reason I decided they could have the car back... I wasn't dealing with people who wanted to help me, they just wanted to help themselves to my money.
