I have had many bad dealings with Hiester Inc. I became friends with a majority of the staff and ownership, but later found out it was a way to get me to buy vehicles. The first vehicle was used, no problems, but traded it in on a newer used family vehicle. The vehicle was loaded, but ended up in the shop 3 times so I decided to trade again.
I traded it in on a new vehicle and didn't realize until a month later they rolled their losses into the sale, which was stupid on my part and put the value of the vehicle $10,000 below what I financed it for. I then traded in a car for a used truck. The truck had an oil pump go out a month later and almost blew up the engine. I made several pleas with the management to work with me, but the only solution was to buy another new vehicle.
I called back over two years later and spoke to the management, who used to be "friends". I never received a call back, so I sold the truck privately and bought a new vehicle from Cary Auto Park. Out of 4 vehicles bought from Hiester only 2 ran with limited problems, and the other two put me in deep financial strain. Don't let the friendly approach fool you.
