Beware of Bait and Switch. I was actually referred to this Used Car Dealer. Shawn the owner is practicing very bad business. The salesman ran my credit over the phone and told them I had $3000 down on a $15,000 car. They told me to come in to pick up the car. They tried to get me to purchase a mandatory $1500 extended warranty program which was bogus I declined. I signed a contract and took the car home. Before I took the car I told them that I needed to turn in my lease on my company car so I wanted to be 100% sure that I was approved. I was told "no problem you are approved". Their website under financing states, "Magic Auto Center of Tarzana can help finance car loans for California residents, first time buyer, even with bad credit history, collections, repossession". One week after I had purchased the car and turned in my old lease the salesman called me and told me that Shawn wanted an additional down payment of $2000 equating to $5000 down (33%). I told the salesman that wasn't going to happen and what type of business are they running to demand an additional down payment under duress; if that was the case I will return the car and unwind the contract. I actually had the additional down payment, but it was an issue of the principle of the whole matter. I was told not to worry about it then to have a great Thanksgiving holiday. After the holiday I received another call form the salesman stating that if I didn't come up with another $2000 then Shawn the owner wanted the car back as they could sell it for more than what I purchased it for! (Actually the owner Shawn was driving the car I had purchased for his personal use and probably just wanted it back). The salesman was actually very nice and apologized for the owner's bad business practices. I returned the car and received my down payment back. Shawn the owner was there when I retuned the car and was rude and could not even apologize for what he had put me through. He was very arrogant. He said it is not his problem that they could sell the car to someone else for more than what was contracted. They tried to sell me another car and I said no way was I going to do business with them. This was a total bait and switch and a complete waste of my time. Beware of this business and buy a car from a reputable dealer.
