Bait and switch, Dishonest advertsing for "credit rebuilding"

I called about their "credt rebuilding" program, gave an application over the phone, and was assured I could get financing on the vehicle I requested. We agreeed on a down payment amount and a monthly payment amount. I was told to come to the dealership, bring documents proving my residence, income and my driver license and social security card, and I would leave in the vehicle I had chosen.

I arrived at the dealership, a two hour drive for me, and was greeted by a different salesman than the one I had spoken with initially. I picked out a vehicle, drive it, and even signed a sales order agreeing to purchase the vehicle at a certain down payment and monthly payment ($1500 down and $550 a month). Minutes later, the salesman brought me a worksheet from the finance manager saying they could sell it to me for $6000 down and $680 a month. I argued that this wasn't what I had discussed with the salesman prior to coming to the dealership. The finance manager told me that the bank he had spoken to before wasn't available on the weekend, and offered to let me leave with the vehicle on a loaner agreement, to return and sign the final paperwork when it was approved. I declined this offer, because it just seemed fishy.

The next day, I called back and spoke to the salesman I had originally spoken with. He was apologetic, and said that he would make it right. The next day, he called and asked could I go higher on my monthly note, I told him I could go as high as $575. He called back a few hours later saying "come get your truck". I made an appointment to return a few days later.

The day I was supposed to return, I called to make sure everything was ok. Again, my salesman, Bruce Kirkpatrick, said "we're good to go." Suspicious due to my previous experience, I asked if financing was approved / Bruce said "not yet, we're gonna put you in it on a loaner agreement, and you come back and sign everything when we get final approval." I asked how confident he was I would get approval, he said "very". I again declined the offer to get the vehicle on a loaner agreement, and asked him to call me when financing was approved. I was called a few days later by another salesman, asking if I could get a co-signer. I told them yes, but that I didn't wish to do so, as I was interested in re-building my credit. I was told then that they couldn't sell me a car. This despite the fact that their ad states that if you me a minimum of $1200 a month, they can sell you a car. I make almost 4 times that. These people are trying to coerce people into driving off the lot with cars they want, only to stick them with higher than advertsied pricing.
