Rip-off, Shotty Work, Won't Give Written Estimate, Won't Warranty Work, Will Bleed You Dry

First of all, men do get scammed also. I had the misfortune of falling into their grasp last year. I went in for a check engine light. Although they advertise that they will do this for free. They claimed that they were really busy and immediately collected my information and ushered me into one of their $9/day rentals. Before I left their shop, they assured me that they would call with an estimate before proceeding to do any repair work on my vehicle. They called a couple of yours later and stated that they found the problem and that it was my fuel injectors and that they already had it taken off and that the repair plus the rental and diagnostic test would be $1100. At this point, I had no choice but to let them do the repair since they had my vehicle apart. They supposedly made the repair. Now is the catch. Before I was allowed to pay, they printed out a 99 point inspection list for repairs to be done on my vehicle. I had to review and sign before they would release my vehicle to me although I paid them. Approximately a couple of weeks later, low and behold my vehicle stalled again and had to be towed. I was given the same scripted speech. Unsurprisingly, they called as usual and let me know it was my fuel pump. Again, they had my vehicle apart and I had no choice. Again, although I paid them, I was forced to sign their paperwork before they would release my vehicle to me. This repair, another $1100 with their discount coupon. This soon became a regular occurrence. My vehicle would always break down after they supposedly repaired the problem and, as always, they would list a vehicle parts inspection list and low-and-behold, it would always be another issue on this list. After a month and $5000 later, I finally caught on and was able to track and predict what part would fail next in accordance with their list of recommended repairs. What red flagged me was when my vehicle still had the same issue, I inspected the vehicle myself and found that they had actually broken my distributor cap during one of their repairs. I took my vehicle back to them and pointed this out. I had to argue and plead my case before they would consider warranting their work. To my surprise, they did replace the distributor cap but, I had to wait at their shop 9 hours. They tried to put me into one of their rentals but, I refused to leave. They weren't happy and were constantly making snide remarks and laughing after watching me. I will have to say to anyone thinking about taking their car to them for repair, to heed this warning. Once they determine that you have more than $1 in your bank account, they will stop at nothing until they bleed your bank account dry and max out the limits of your credit cards. I think this practice is sickening since, I'm disabled and on a fixed income.
