I too was ripped off by Heritage Insurance Co. Of Lincoln, NE and National Administrative Service of Dublin, OH. I purchased a 6 year contract for them on my truck. It went along fine until this year (3/21) I was told I had to pay the repairs on my truck and submit the invoices to National Administrative Service. After hearing nothing, I called them. They told me my claim had been approved and the check was being processed. I called again in two weeks after still not receiving the check. I was again told that the check was in process and that I would be put on a "special" spreadsheet so that when checks were cut, mine would go out right away. Long story short, I still do not have my money, have made up to 30 calls and got the same stories. Now they have a canned speech they read stating that they are only a administrative not the company that writes the checks. They would not give me a current phone number for Heritage.
Out of frustration I called the dealership that sold me the contract and advised them not to sell any more. They had already quit due to other problems with Heritage. The dealership did call an old contact at Heritage and was told that it had gone down hill since ownership changes and that they were presently in litigation.
My biggest problem is that not only do I desperately need this $1375 back, I also have other problems with the truck that should be covered by this contract. The contract is in force until 2/09. I can't afford to have additional work done and they still owe me that money plus money for additional work or buy me out of my contract.
I would be very interested in how many others are out there and if we can't do something about this rip-off
