I put a small cash deposit on a vehicle i was interested in. I wanted them to hold the car for me while i went over the details of the possible purchase of the car. After having decided i did not want to buy the car i returned to get a refund of the deposit. They refused to give me my money back because supposedly others had come by after me and been unable to buy the car because i had a hold on it. They say they lost business because of me and due to this they would not give me the money back. I did not sign a bill of sale and there was never any agreement that i absolutely would be buying the car. It was never stated that this deposit was non-refundable and there was never any understanding that i would not get my money back if i changed my mind. The money i put down was a deposit ONLY not a down payment or anything of the sort.
