I purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Lombard Toyota (725 W Roosevelt Road, Lombard IL 60148). 2007 gs450h. It did not have a shifter knob and the saleperson (Carlos Santeliz) maintained that his sales manager has it locked up. He guaranteed that it would be delivered saying that it was illegal otherwise. After the purchase and payment (in full by check), Carlos continued to insist that it would be sent to me.
I visited Lombard Toyota at least 6 times after that period, after which he would refuse to come speak to me personally. Each person I have dealt with insisted that it would be sent in a couple days. It has been 6 months. I left him at least 5 calls and sent multiple emails (of which I have read receipts for) and he has never once called me back.
I am absolutely appalled and incensed of the services rendered on a $50,000 purchase. While the cost of a shifter knob is negligible, the principal by which the purchase was made has been violated. I intend to use all means necessary to resolve this issue.
