Incompatent, ripoff business from hell rude threatening slow prossessing the business that doesnt give a dam Auburn Hills

I turned my lease in Nov. 2001 and was expecting a bill for my miles over. When I recieved the letter 4 months later there was a charge on there for a 3 month late charge. When I called and brought this to the attention of Matt he assured me this was going to be taken care of.

I had at this time also asked him if I could make some sort of payment arrangments because I was widowed suddenly 6 months into the lease. 2 months later I recieved my adjustment. I tried contacting Matt leaving a new phone #, work and cell #. I was never contacted back. The original # Chrysler had was my husbands business #. Since my husbands death this phone is only used for my kids computer.

And when I didn't hear from Matt after 2 weeks I hooked up an aswering machine up to my to see if he would leave a message on that phone (that no one answers). He did and in the message he stated that he had a really good deal to offer me, to make it easier to pay what I owed. I then called him over a 2 month period 3 more times again leaving all of my #'s. And again I got no reply. I even called Chrysler and told them that I was trying to get a hold of Matt and still no call. I then just thought because of my situation that maybe Matt had my bill taken care of.

I recieved no more correspondences from Chrysler until January 10 from a collection agency. Since then my life has been a living hell. I contacted Tracey Clarke at 1-800-392-4029 ext. 173 on Mon. January 13. At first he was quite pleasent and then when I explained what had happened (he even told me there was a note on my record stating that I was trying to get a hold of Matt, and that he did not return my calls) he offered me a DEAL. I could pay $650 for 2 months and be done. I told him that there was no way I could come up with that kind of money, I have 2 teens with one in college and do not have access to that kind of money he then stated that I would then owe $1735.

I told him that I wanted to contact Chrysler Financial And try to make arrangements with them because I felt like I was beig skrewed because of someone not doing there job and that it was very unfair.

I then contacted a Ms. Barrinder and expained what had happened and she told my that she would send it on to their regional office and that if I didn't hear form them in 10 days to call back.

I then called Mr. Clarke and told him I was going to wait to hear from Chrysler. He then turned very rude and accused me of trying to get out of paying my bill and I replied that I have tried to pay this bill and did not feel that I should be punished for someone elses incompitence.

He then told me he could garnish my wages for non payment I then explained that in no way was I trying to get out of paying this.

He started screaming about garnishment again and I told him to do what he thought he had to do and that I would call him back when I heard from Chrysler. He then told me garnishment would start in my next pay check. (all of these conversations took place on the Jan. 13).

Now we get to to today Jan. 29,03. I called Chrysler and they have no record of my last conversation with Ms. Barrinder. The women I talked to today (that refused to give me her name), was very rude I tried to tell her what was going on and she wouldn't even listen she said that once it goes to collection that is who I have to deal with I ask to speak to a supervisor and was told there was no one elsa to talk to.

I said that there had to be someone else I could talk to. I was then hung up on. I do not deserve the treatment I am getting from Chrysler.

I then called the collection agency to set up some sort of payment arrangement all I can afford monthly is about $40 at the most but I figured since I was going to have to pay to full amount (which no one can tell how this total was came to) I would pay 20 a month. Mr. Clarke hung up on me. I called back and ask to speak to his superviser and again was hung up on.

I then called back agian to try to make arrangements and was told there was no way he would take anything less then the original offer of 2 payments at $650 or he would see me in court and ruin my credit and then hung up again.
I am at a total loss of what to do now. I feel that this is all Chrysler's fault. I have done (and continue to) nothing wrong. I feel I have done what I am supposed to. If Matt would have called me back I am sure a payment arrangement that I could have afforded would have been made and this bill would have been taken care of long ago. But now because people over there are not made accountable I have to deal with a rude bully!
