I am writing this to warn people about whta happened to me at smithtown nissan. I was looking to purchase a versa and was in the process of negotiating a price with the salesperson (whose name I will leave out at this time).. Me and my wife were ready to walk out of the the salesmens office and go to dinner when the salesmen offered me a 30,000 mile maintenance contract to close the deal. We thought about it and then accepted the offer an shook hands on it. The salesperson later told me i would have to bring in the customer survey to him and then he would give me the contract..
Sounded good to me. But I never got anything in writing. And I have been trying to get my maintenance contract since september. I have contacted nissan usa and emailed the salesperson 100 times and have been basically ignored. Nissan usa is not responsible for its dealerships basically... I realize I have basically been screwd over but there uis nothing i can do but tell the truth. Beware of this ploy and get everything written down..
Also i read consumer reports about smithtown nissan and there are many negatives. Also check better business complaints..
