Sold Me a used car that's defective and in a very bad condition! Car Caught Fire!

I bought a used 47 k miles 2002 Hyundai XG350 from this dealership. The car is still under manufacturers warranty when i bought it. Upon purchase of the car, it's pulling so much to the right.

I reported it to the dealer and they took the car back for repair. That's 2 days after i purchased the car. 3 weeks later, they have not informed me of the status, i have been making a follow up since i gave it back. They gave me a loaner to use while my car is being fixed.

I called Hyundai Corporate, reported the incident and they called the dealership. Finally, after the corporate follow up they said my car is ready. I picked it up. But to my surprise it's still pulling to the right.

I came back, but they said if i want i can bring it to their authorized repair shop, Good Year "Zuby's" tire shop, near their store. They looked at the car and said they will fix it whatever happens. After 2 or 3 times of coming back and forth they were not able to fix the car. They even replaced the balljoint but instead of getting fixed, it got worst, a weird clicking sound started coming of the shocks whenever i hit a dip or humps.

I was very unhappy, this happened in a matter of 2 months. I really did not enjoy the car eversince i bought it because it's always in the shop most of the time. And the first time i brought it, it looks like they used the car somewhere else, because it seems from the time i bought it 2 days only and the time i got it back they added a 1000 miles on it.

The worst incident is when i was driving it back to the the tire shop, the car caught fire. I made it to the shop and they even help me to extinguish the fire. I called Hyundai dealership and corporate office, but all they could say is my car is already out of warranty.

I tried to fight it i told them my car is under 50k which is still within warranty. They said it's over 5 years, asked them since when they said a week ago. I bought the car late Nov and caught fire around Early Jan. 2008.

I was very frustrated and mad! I didn't document all this, but i have proof of my complaints with their corporate office. I have witnesses of the car catching fire. I made a claim on my insurance for the repair of the car.

I lost my down payment, my first month payment, made a claim on my insurance. But because it's a fire issue they have to investigate, and took a lot of time to repair. I was frustrated, i can't keep paying a car that has so much problem and then caught fire.

I called the Loan company "A & L Financial, and explained the situation. They said they can't do anything, and i'm still responsible to pay. I explained and asked them if they could adjust the terms due to the unfortunate events? But they said no.

As you can see, i really made a mistake buying this car from this dealership. They sold me a defective car, they know it's defective but they still sold it to a consumer. I was taken advantage off by this dealership and the public should know about it.

I tried to call a lemon law lawyer, but they said i have no case. I have no choice but to have the bank take the car back, straight from the body shop. I lost my money, my car, and now i have a repo on my credit too.

I am writing and subscribed to your website to find out if there is a way for me to get back to this Hyundai dealership in Garden Grove. They should not get away with this. I remembered talking to the manager and he said..."If you want, you can return the car to us but it is going to be a repo on your credit" like that with out sympathy.

I'd like to know if i have a chance or anybody can help me? It took me a while to do this, but since i found your website i have always wanted to file a case against them. But i was told that it's not worth it and do not bother.

I don't care! All i want is for the public to know about this and those people involved in this scam should be penalized and reprimanded. They should pay for taking advantage of their consumer and not helping even though they know that they are at fault.

Thank you for reading, and i hope that there is a chance for me to get justice for what they did to me and my family. Sorry for the long letter.

God Bless!
